The annual M.S.T.V Ferro Mosae x Bearsports swim run will take place on Wednesday evening May 15 2024. This is the perfect challenge in between all triathlon competitions and training sessions. The swim run is accessible to everyone and therefore it is a suitable opportunity to get acquainted with triathlon. We have a 1/8th swim run for individuals and duos as well as a kids edition.
Location
The M.S.T.V Ferro Mosae Bearsports swim run takes place in and around the Geusseltbad. Swimming will be in the outdoor pool of the Geusseltbad and running will be in the Geusseltpark.
Geusseltbad: Discusworp 4, 6225 XP Maastricht
Changing rooms and lockers of the Geusseltbad can be used by participants.
Distances
The 1/8th swim run consists of a 500m swim and a 5km run. You can participate as an individual or as a duo. For the duos: one of the two performs the swimming part and the other performs the running part. Registration costs are €9 for individuals, €7,50 for students and €10 for relay duos.
We also have a kids edition with 250 meters of swimming and 2500 meters of running (age 10-18 years) and a mini edition of 100 meters of swimming and 1000 meters of running (age 4-12 years). Registration costs are €4,50 for the kids edition and €3,50 for the mini edition.

Every 20 minutes a new series will start. A more detailed schedule will follow one week before the race (for the ones that registered before that time). Make sure you are present at least half an hour before your race starts. About 15 minutes before every series a short briefing for the participants will take place.

If you are not a member of the NTB, you must make a guest account to register.
The NTB competition rules apply to the Swim Run. The prices do not include the cost of a day license that will be charged if you do not have an athlete license. More information about the day license can be found on the NTB website.
There is also a possibility to register on the day itself. There will be a € 2.50 fee on top of the regular registration price.

Timekeeping
A chip system is used for the timekeeping of the running section. You will receive the chip together with the start number and attach the chip and start number to your middle with a racing belt. You have to bring such a belt yourself! If you do not have one, there is a possibility to borrow or buy one from the organization, but there is a limited number of belts available. Otherwise, you should attach the start number with safety pins to your trisuit or shirt.
Parcours
For the kids – short distance, there is one short loop of 988 m.
For the kids – long distance, there is one long loop (1,66 km) followed by a short loop (988m).
For the sprint distance (individual and relay) there are three loops of the long loop (1.65 km per loop).

Award ceremony
There will be prizes for the fastest 3 kids, fastest 3 Women and fastest 3 Men. In addition, we will have a prize for the fastest duo. It will take place at the end of the event, in front of the start/finish line.
